Tattoos on the Heart Paper (1000-1500 words, 100 points total). Each student will write a paper reflecting on the book Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion. This paper will put this book into conversation with at least 2 primary sources
Imagine that one day, you have as a house guest an alien from another planet. He comes from a planet that has a similar conception of religion and similar instances of organized religion as we do on Earth. He is not, however, at all familiar with Christianity, but he has picked up and read a copy of Tattoos on the Heart that he found on your coffee table. Imagine as well that you yourself have only ever been exposed to the ideas about Christianity that you came into contact with in RS220 in Fall semester 2016.

Our alien asks you why you had to read this book for your course on Christianity.
