This week we have been studying stories. You have been reading many stores in the online lesson and in the textbook. This week I want you to think about a story that
you know. It can be a story that you remember from your childhood, a story that you read to your own child, a religious story from Sunday school, a story from a comic
book, a story told as a movie or television show–the list is endless. But it cannot be a story from the online lesson or the textbook.
Because of space limitations don’t tell the entire story in your essay, but simply write a brief summary of the story.
Next, analyze your story. Is is a folktale, legend, or myth? What features of the story lead you to classify it in a certain way? Are there any supernatural elements
in the story? If so, give some examples and decide if the supernatural elements are sacred or not.
