In this scenario, you have been called to lead a team of public health professionals to communicate with a specific target audience about a certain public health threat or challenge. You will discuss ways that you will communicate with your identified target audience, and you will recommend actions to be taken to reduce that group’s risk to the threat.

- Consider the following questions and apply them to the scenario that was posted by your Instructor.
By Day 3 of Week 8
- In a single posting, post your initial response to each of the questions below, supporting your ideas with scholarly resources and citing all sources where they were used in your text.
- Identify your target audience and explain why you have chosen this group. Be sure to specify if there will be more than one targeted audience.
- Describe the specific message(s) you will relay to your target audience(s).
- Explain how, specifically, you will convey this message to your target audience(s), including actions to be undertaken and personnel involved.
- Discuss at least two ways that you could use social media as a means for reaching your target audience(s).
- Describe at least one specific action that can impact the incidence rates (number of new cases) and at least one specific action that can impact the prevalence rates (number of existing cases) of your health concern. In doing so, describe the public health–related professionals who would be responsible for carrying out the specific actions.
