HEDIS is a tool to use by a lot of people to measure performance quality of care and services. HEDIS made it possible to compare performance and they become accredited by to ensure quality patient care. Most insurance payors require this accreditation (National Committee of Quality Assurance, 2015). My PICOT question is: Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. HEDIS helps with the strategies importance to find what policy implications of implementing the measure to have hang hygiene to reduce the amount of infections. Another important one would be the cost effectiveness, the policy implications of implementing the measure for cost to better health for the patients.
