1. Identify and describe a public health problem.
2. Identify and describe a potential public policy (law) solution to the identified public health problem.
3. Select a specific jurisdiction (city, state, county, nation) in which you will propose your policy. Describe the population and the governmental structures in the jurisdiction.
4. Research and describe at least three real examples of the same or similar laws that have been enacted and the results.
5. Use a systematic review such as The Community Guide or The Guide to Preventive Services; a meta-analysis, or at least three studies from peer-reviewed journals to provide evidence to support your proposal.
6. Identify and describe the membership of a team to promote your policy.
7. Perform a Stakeholder Analysis using one or more of the tools presented in the class or on the slide presentation posted.
8. Develop a strategy to involve selected stakeholders in helping to make your policy become law.
9. Develop a fact sheet to explain your proposal and its potential benefits and limitations.
10. Develop an evaluation plan (who, what, when, where, how, why) to measure the intended and unintended positive and negative results of your proposal.
The paper should be between 12 and 20 pages; include at least 12 APA Cited references (don’t list a reference on the Reference page unless you have also cited the reference in the body of the paper.) List references in Reference list in alphabetical order.
