Think of your perspectives on different states within the United States. Your perceptions may come from living there, visiting there, supporting a sports team, hearing about another person’s experience, or from stories in the media. If you live somewhere, you naturally reach different conclusions than someone who has never been to this place. We likely have misconceptions about some places because they are outside of our experience or because we’ve never had cause to learn about them.
