Assignment Title and Contents
1) Briefly discuss the importance of hierarchies, markets and networks
for public management.
2) Drawing on the experience of at least two countries from the course:
i) Examine how public management reform has sought to alter the use of
hierarchies, markets and networks across public sector activity and service delivery. Give examples.
ii) In light of your discussion, do you anticipate all countries converging towards a similar model of public sector management?
