ikea instructions

IKEA Instructions – Select one of the IKEA assembly instructions to revise. IKEA instructions are notorious for being pictorial texts with no written steps on putting furniture together. Therefore, you will revise ONE set of instructions and rewrite these instructions by adding step-by-step process of assembly for this piece of furniture. DO NOT USE PICTORIAL TEXTS AS THE ONLY COMPONENT IN YOUR INSTRUCTIONS. Instead provide images of the parts in the “materials needs” area of the instructions. You can also create a name for the material items, if there is no known name for that “whatchamacallit” or “doodad”. Just be sure to use this material name within the instructional steps. Finally, use the Instructions template, which you can download from our Moodle course shell. While you are making the changes to IKEA instructions, take notes on how you do it.

how to visually display data for optimal use
2-3 paragraph SPSS

For this Introduction to Quantitative Analysis Assignment, you will explore how to visually display data for optimal use.
To prepare for this Assignment:
Review this week’s Learning Resources and consider visual displays of data.
Using the SPSS software, open the Afrobarometer dataset or the High School Longitudinal Study dataset (whichever you choose) found in this week’s Learning Resources.
From the dataset you chose, choose one categorical and one continuous variable and perform the appropriate visual display for each variable.
Once you visually display each variable, review Chapter 11 of the Wagner text to understand how to copy and paste your output into your Word document.
For this Assignment:
Write a 2- to 3-paragraph analysis of your results and include a copy and paste of the appropriate visual display of the data into your document.
Based on the results of your data, provide a brief explanation of what the implications for social change might be.
Use appropriate APA format. Refer to the APA manual for appropriate citation.

Respond to Discussion Question

Respond to Discussion Question

Respond to at least one of your colleagues’ post and determine whether you are able to understand the “whole picture” of the data or understand the data in its entirety. What might you add to their display and why? What might you change to their display and why?

Data Presentation

For data presentation, I have chosen the variable “labor force status’. Being a categorical data, the labor force status of respondents was presented using bar graph and pie chart.

Based on Figure 1, the bar of “working full time” group is the highest implying there are more people working full time than any other status. Next to working full time group is the ‘retired” group while the least is the “temp not working” group.

Figure 1. Bar graph showing the frequency of each category of labor force status.

Figure 2 presented the labor force status using pie chart. Based on the pie chart, less than 50% of the respondents are working full time. This is a significant observation which is not captured in bar chart (Figure 1). Only about 60% are recorded to be full time or part time workers.

The labor force status is presented in two different ways and it’s interesting to note the information we could get from each type of data presentation.

Blood Typing
Introduction

Blood typing is critical in medicine. If a person receives the wrong type of blood, they can die. The purpose of this virtual lab is to allow you to simulate determining the blood type of three patient. You will then have to decide what type of blood to give your patients. Good luck; hopefully, you will save lives.

Objectives

3. Click on START PLAYING. Follow the instructions in the lab to answer the following questions. Select the patients in order from left to right. You will have to drag the needle to the patient’s arm and then put the blood in the tubes to determine the blood type.
4. Type all answers directly on the data sheet.
5. Select Save As, and use your last name and student ID as a file name.
6. Upload the data sheet as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf file when finished.

And by typing into the youtube search engine: (ABC Prime Time Milgram) you can find a more contemporary (2009) version, with significant changes from the original experimental design.

ETHNOGRAPHIC FOR SOCIOLOGY CLASS

ETHNOGRAPHIC FOR SOCIOLOGY CLASS
Conduct a participant observation (ethnographic study) wherein you study through participation in a particular cross- cultural group event or social organizational meeting. Samples of events may include a visit to a religious group other than the one you usually attend, hanging out at a greasy spoon café or coffee shop and observing tipping behavior, attending a cross-cultural sporting event (e.g. if you are American, perhaps soccer but NOT American football or baseball), or volunteering with an organization that serves a cultural population somehow different than your own. To complete the assignment paper, first consider what cultural norms may be different from your own and discuss them in writing. Then, participate in the event, writing down your observations, noting any patterns you observe, and pointing out any observations or patterns that particularly surprise you. Why are they surprising to you? What might be the purpose(s) behind the perceived difference? Throughout your paper, you should reflect on your own cultural identity compared to the group being observed. Additionally, you should apply Sociological theory in an attempt to explain multicultural and global diversity.

Case Study-Training Assessment

Case Study-Training Assessment

Case Study-Training Assessment
Assignment 2: Case Study—Training Assessment
Training assessment is an important task for HR personnel. Use the Argosy University online library and textbooks to read about training assessments.
Then, consider the following scenario:
You have recently been appointed as a training manager for the southeast region of a major supermarket chain in the U.S. Your territory includes 15 retail stores. Your responsibility involves working directly with store managers and other stakeholders to develop training solutions to meet specific needs of employees in various stores. This includes, but is not limited to, performing needs assessments, determining appropriate instructional design and training delivery methods, as well as implementing and evaluating training initiatives.
Three of the stores in your territory have missed sales goals for the last two quarters. All three stores have received low customer satisfaction scores and are experiencing increased employee turnover rates. The high employee turnover has resulted in the store managers hiring many new and relatively inexperienced sales associates, which further contributes to the problem.
The senior management team of the supermarket chain believes that training and development may help decrease employee turnover and increase customer satisfaction. You have been asked to assess training needs and develop a proposal to address the situation in these three stores.
Instructions:
Use scholarly resources and your learning, address the following:
Identify, using simple heuristics, the indicators that show that the specific problems experienced by the three stores can be resolved through training.
Design a needs assessment plan and identify three specific training initiatives you would recommend for these employees. Include the expected outcomes for the three training initiatives in your proposal.
Select one of the specific training initiatives you identified and develop a budget of projected costs to implement this initiative.
Write a seven-to-nine-page training proposal in Word format. Apply APA standards to citation of sources.
Make sure you write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation
