Data gathering analysis discussions and conclusions

Data analysisResearch Ethics Morals in research is an essential measure to consider particularly in situations where the philosophy includes the interest of individuals. This research means to study the reaction of individuals concerning effect of enhanced quality affirmation and control in the two front said Electromechanical Contracting and Maintenance Companies utilizing as a part of profundity talks with as method for essential information accumulation. Morals involves proper conduct in connection to the rights and opportunities of the members in the study. In this way, the specialist will look for morals approbation before the study initiates. The scientist expects to secure educated assent from the members earlier the study. This will be carried out by initially, the scientist doing acquaintances with the members. The respondents need to know the biographic, and in addition the expert foundation of the specialist. This will help the respondents to know how to contact the scientist just on the off chance that there is have to do so. In addition, semi-organized inside and out meetings oblige that the analyst works at very nearly an individual level with the respondents to guarantee that the respondents don’t hesitate to give data. Furthermore, the respondents will be educated about the study. This will incorporate the research subject, the purpose behind completing the exploration, the respondents’ part in the exploration, and the hugeness of the ensuing information. Thirdly, top to bottom meetings with educators, understudies and folks of the given schools can include touchy data that the respondents may not be ready to give out. With the end goal of affirmation, the privacy of the respondent’s input is considered. Fourth, the respondents’ investment is simply out of readiness and decision.

No respondent will be compelled to take an interest in the study, and just the individuals who have willfully concurred will be considered. In addition, the respondents will be given the decision to stop the interest in the event that it is out of their own advantage. On the other hand, they can pick not to answer addresses that they are not obliged to. This warrants that the scientist needs to be wary when examining the respondents for answers. It ought not get to uncomfortable levels; not one or the other ought to the respondents feel that they were power to give out data that they would rather not. Watching morals is imperative as it upgrades the believability and good estimation of the examination. Also, it evades certain disadvantages like claims, which can influence the achievement of the exploration.

Study LimitationsFor this kind of tasks there is no compelling reason to run with exploration technique so wide in procedure of gathering the information. So the impediment is fifteen review tests from clients of CIRTA and Topaz Companies, and additionally three meetings with key supervisors. This will be sufficient to concoct data sufficient for the research conclusion.

AnalysisInvestigation in this paper includes information acceptance and connection. That is; weighing the data assembled in the exploration to figure out if it is pertinent to the study. The information is initially deciphered to comprehend what it implies in layman’s dialect. It is from that point contrasted with the exploration question with show is pertinence. The investigation will incorporate disposing of the information that does not appear supportive to answer the speculation of this exploration. Researchers to it that the data that the exploration gives in this paper will empower answer the speculation. According to Selden (1998) it will help the individuals understanding it to comprehend the subject under exchange

Data analysis and hypothesis testingBefore breaking down information, it will be transformed to dispense with unusable information and decipher answers which would be vague and conflicting. Later, the information will be coded and put away electronically. The measurement bundle for social sciences (SPSS) will be utilized to break down the information. Information will be broke down quantitatively and subjectively to make findings, understandings, conclusions and conceivable suggestions. Quantitative information will be evoked from the shut finished inquiries in the polls where means, frequencies, and rates will be registered. Information will be displayed in tables, diagrams and charts. Subjective information will be gotten from the open finished areas of the polls and meetings. Information will be compressed and introduced in tables in books where citations for respondents will be referred to. Research of fluctuation (ANOVA) will be utilized to test the theory at the 0.5 level of hugeness (Alvaro, & Meria, 2009).

Result of data analyses

Interview

Amid the initially meeting with Alhamim Ibrahim, Projects Manage, of CIRTA Company, he was exceptionally ingenious, and he gave the accompanying data. He was reacting to a poll and he was helpful. Second visit to CIRTA saw a gathering with Assedik Bouamama, assignment General Manager, of CIRTA Electro Mechanical Contracting and Maintenance. He additionally ended up being asset and was extremely helpful in noting the inquiries in the survey.

In any case, the survey tried to know whether there are any difficulties that administrators confront in actualizing quality confirmation and control. Ibrahim said that, as an issue one of the primary difficulties that you face is to secure nonstop activities to the organization that can create enough comes back to take care of the running expense and to attain some enthusiasm to help the organization develop. The second test that administrators get is to verify that you got the right staff whom can execute the venture we have in the most ideal way imaginable so we can get the fulfillment of our customer and the individuals we work with this will help us getting compensated more ventures. As per Assedik, the difficulties we experience is needing to meet and even exceed expectations or past the prerequisites. Our Clients involves with each venture they honor to us. Likewise, being at the top past all the Competition that exists in the business we are coddling the business sector. The methodology of being honored of a certain venture is likewise a test. The procedure towards satisfying are the essential reports required is trying for there is not legitimate standard altered as parameters. Also, the survey tried to recognize what techniques the organization is utilizing to guarantee enhance quality certification and control. As per Alhamim CITRA is applying three methodologies so we can have a superior control on the result of each worker. These three techniques are as in particular beneath.

Initially we are attempting to appoint the right representative with the right capabilities and experience for the occupation so we guarantee that it will be carried out in more expert route with better quality

Second we verify we are doing a standard check and investigation to all the occupations we have and the individuals who are doing it so we verifying everything is going alright.

Third giving all our workers a particular errands and focus to be accomplished month to month and yearly

The test of achieving the necessities our Clients sets. This has been the test in light of the fact that there are no standard parameters that are given as rules for the execution of the undertaking as per Assedik.

In the survey, the third question tried to comprehend in the event that it is a test to get foremen and keep up them. It additionally tried to know, whether it is testing, what precisely the test is. As indicated by Alhamim it is a test on the grounds that so as to keep up them you have to get a decent fulfillment rate this oblige a constant work to safeguard that all the work is going and been carried out in the best building practice conceivable and with better quality that fulfill the agreement. Assedik avowed that all the workers at CIRTA are resolved to guarantee enhance quality this is showed on the way they show themselves and the quality administration they convey to our outer client. We discover that our Company objectives are attain by maintaining our Company’s Mission and Vision. To empower them, we give them aggressive compensation bundle. Fourth, the survey tried to know whether the representatives of CIRTA are submitted towards attaining enhanced quality confirmation and control. Alhamim said that they are all dedicated to guarantee and enhance work quality. That is a result of the organization’s arrangements, in the same way as we are verifying each work force is getting suitable compensation bundle that fulfill their needs so we verify they don’t stress over their life so they can focus all the more at work they have. Also, likewise we have motivational rewards that we disseminate when we accomplish the targets we are putting.

Additionally we are having an out of work exercises to guarantee that the representative have a solid connection with the organization and there administration. Additionally we have an open entryway approach so every worker have the opportunity to address his needs and concern to the ideal individual so to be tackled promptly. Assedik additionally affirmed that, the organization’s way towards enhanced quality certification has been built by the accomplishment we persistently acquire. One of the robust appearance we have achieved our prosperity are the ISO Certificates we have accomplished and the honors our organization has been offered with. All the more imperatively, we have measured our prosperity with the expanding number of tasks we obtained as the years progressed.

Fifth, the survey got some information about the accomplishment of CIRTA in actualizing enhanced quality confirmation and control. Alhamim said that it has been fruitful because of the administration enthusiasm of enhancing the nature of work and the fulfillment rate they get from the finished activities likewise by guaranteeing that the workers are getting the return they merit. The survey additionally looked to recognize what methodologies CIRTA would refer to as their one of a kind systems that have seen it to achievement in executing enhanced quality confirmation and control. Alhamim said that one of the arrangements that we are pleased with is Team work, we all considering the organization as our own so our fundamental concern is to create and verify we are doing the best. Assedik included that they don’t generally characterize it as our procedure, for our organization has been treating all its workers decently and legitimately; this is one of the key component on why has the organization achieved its prosperity. We make it a point that our inner clients are fulfilled, from there on; they can give quality administration to our outer clients taking care of business. This sticks the conviction that every single worker in our organization is as imperative as our Clients. In conclusion, the survey asked of the exhortation that Alhamim, as an issue of one of the best known electromechanical contracting organizations in the UAE, would provide for different organizations in that businesses. My recommendation is any work with no quality certification will never make due in this extremely focused environment and today showcase, nature of work is one of the main considerations of organizations’ prosperity and presence, in today advertise your notoriety and work quality is the thing that makes you survive all the emergency and business variances.

The research additionally got data from topaz Fabrication and Construction Company. There was a gathering with Adrian Paunescu Topaz manufacture and development lives up to expectations administrator. Paunescu was cooperatives and addressed the inquiries in the poll dependably. The same poll was utilized to ask data from chiefs from the two organizations. Paunescu said that electromechanical support requires suitable abilities accessible at the ideal time. Preparation of these abilities is an unquestionable requirement for the achievement of the organization and this will be key to keeping up a decent work build-up and run various activities in the meantime. He additionally said that Topaz works our business with Total Quality Management to guarantee enhanced quality confirmation and control. He gave the accompanying as the organization’s methods to execute enhanced quality affirmation and control.

Customer centered

Total representative contribution

Process-focused

Integrated frameworks

Strategic and precise methodology

Continual change Fact-based choice making

Communications

Paunescu said that there is no test in selecting execution builders gave the methodologies of prequalification and checking are taken after. He additionally said that Topaz take after the procedure of aggregate representative association. All workers take part in living up to expectations towards normal objectives. Thus, workers at Topaz work towards enhanced quality affirmation and control objective in the organization. On the off chance that any representative is not cooperatives measures are taken to see to it that the worker submits towards enhanced quality affirmation and control. Paunescu said that the adventure to enhanced quality certification and control has been fruitful, in spite of the fact that not straightforward or straight forward. “Ceaseless change prepare as a major aspect of the aggregate quality administration is our answer” he said. Accomplishment in this has come as an issue of constant change process. He likewise said that the exceptional technique that Topaz apply to guarantee achievement in actualizing enhanced quality affirmation and control is solidarity and collaboration. Topaz workers cooperate for a typical reason and we convey with quality, on time and with zero occurrences. In his separating shot, Paunescu said that chiefs ought to stress on remunerating workers association, accomplishments and collaboration. He additionally said that supervisors ought to quantify and systematize methodologies to lessen varieties, surrenders and process durations. The specialist gathered specimens from clients of the two organizations. The majority of the clients’ specimens depicted the same data. Clients said that they got fulfilling administrations from electromechanical and contracting organizations that apply enhanced quality certification and control. They likewise said that organizations that apply TQM offer impressively fulfilling administrations. Albeit a few clients said that there was a ton to be enhanced the administrations that electromechanical organizations offer. There were an aggregate of fifteen specimens from the clients, however there was just to reactions. That is; the clients either said they were fulfilled or they felt that the organizations required to enhance in the way they handle clients. A portion of the reactions that the scientist got from the clients appeared to have no particular stand or any understanding of the subject of talk. In this way, the scientist needed to reject such reactions as they were of no assistance in this study (Almeida, et al, 2007).

Interpretation of resultsThe senior executive’s reactions gave the exploration a perspective of administration on the issue of this study. That is; the specialist came to see how administration handles the issue of enhanced quality certification and control. Then again, clients tests, gave the exploration a seeing on the clients perspective on the issue. Albeit most clients don’t comprehend what acquires the distinction the administrations they get from these organizations; they can clarify or tell that there is an impressive contrast. Past materials on this subject affirm that enhanced quality affirmation and control enhances effectiveness in company. They additionally affirmed that it helps towards client fulfillment from the administrations that the company offer. These materials likewise proposed that it is trying to actualize this strategy, a proposal that the field exploration affirmed. The materials additionally proposed that it is vital to execute complete quality certification and enhanced quality affirmation and control simultaneously. According to Evans (1994) the documented study affirmed this, also. The data the scientist assembled from the field examination, affirmed the data he had accumulated from perusing past documentations on the point

Relationship (between findings and issue)The information that the analyst gathered demonstrate that it is conceivable to actualize enhanced quality confirmation and control in electromechanical and contracting organizations. The two organizations utilized as specimens with the end goal of this study gave an acceptable understanding on this approach works. In any case, the chiefs’ reactions unmistakably demonstrate that it is trying to actualize this approach in this field or industry. Also, it demonstrates that the most paramount technique of embedding enhanced quality confirmation and control in this industry and others is collaboration. That is; participation in the middle of administration and the representatives. This in way or the other will guarantee great working conditions for all. With great work space, it will be workable for both administration and representatives to work towards a typical objective. It is clear that for this approach to be fruitful in any organization, representatives must be submitted towards it. The results likewise recommended that this arrangement runs as an inseparable unit with aggregate quality administration. It is impractical to execute enhanced quality confirmation and control without executing aggregate quality administration. This is on account of; supervisors need to be on the fore front to execute this strategy and make it an achievable objective or a feasible dream in the organization. Furthermore, the clients’ reactions demonstrated that enhanced quality confirmation and control improve client fulfillment. Albeit most clients couldn’t clarify what causes the distinction they recognize in administration they get from diverse organizations; it was clear that the clients that execute enhanced quality certification and control offer fulfilling administrations to their clients than the rest. This obviously answers the inquiry in the speculation of this exploration. From the data that the scientist gathered, enhanced quality certification and control improve clients’ fulfillment. This information, which the specialist gathered amid the investigation of this exploration, answers the theory of the examination. The reactions the analyst got from both the administrators and the clients give solid data about the subject of study. Also, the data that the analyst got from perusing past materials on this theme helped him to think of a dependable finish of the subject under exploration (Roodenrijs, 2011).

Conclusion The privet and public sector:

The private area company appear to be applying enhanced quality confirmation and control and aggregate quality administration approaches than government or open division company. From the analyst’s perceptions, private area company are more concerned with client fulfillment and expense decrease than their partners, open segment company. People in general segment company need to draw up their socks and come to actualize these two polices that enhance the proficiency of company. Open part company scarcely apply add up to quality administration; accordingly, it is pointless to attempt and actualize enhanced quality certification and control. Administration at open divisions is low and undesirable; this needs to be checked and revised. Thereafter, the company can try to apply enhanced quality certification and control. In spite of the private division, the general population segment gets a large portion of it finances from the administration. This makes the interest for responsibility so tolerant that supervisors have a tendency to be flippant. Hence, a large portion of the chiefs in general society segment don’t take notice on quality administration or productivity at the company. This records for the low gainfulness in people in general area. All out quality administration and enhanced quality affirmation and control can undoubtedly take out this issue (Wagner, & Meisinger, 2006).

Conclusion

Taking everything into account, history has proven time and again that enhanced quality affirmation and control enhances effectiveness in company, and upgrade client fulfillment. This exploration likewise demonstrated that to actualize this approach obliges a considerable measure of administration duty and proficiency. There is no good thing that comes the easy way. This strategy lives up to expectations supernatural occurrences for the organizations that actualize it. This is not to say, it does take a shot at its own. It obliges the info of all at the association. All the strategy does it to empower smooth running and yielding of the exertions that representatives and administration put in work. The strategy gives a check framework that guarantees negligible escape clauses; therefore enhancing gainfulness. The study likewise demonstrated that for enhanced quality certification and control to be powerful, it must run as one with aggregate quality administration. This is on the grounds that; aggregate quality administration goes about as an issue framework for enhanced quality confirmation and control. In this manner, chiefs’ effectiveness is of incredible significance regarding the matter of executing enhanced quality affirmation and control. Enhanced quality affirmation and control is not a substitute for good administration, however a supplement. In this way, it can’t supplant administration at any one time. The exploration has additionally brought up the difficulties that chiefs confront in executing this strategy in electromechanical and contracting organizations. This ought to go about as an eye opener for chiefs of organizations that are not utilizing this approach. As indicated by the clients’ reactions, organizations that utilize this strategy offer solid administrations. This implies that these organizations will have a greater number of clients and even perpetual ones than those that don’t utilize this approach.

The recommendation

It is recommendable for company in general society area to grasp this headway in the businesses. In the event that company in the general population area grasp this arrangement alongside aggregate quality administration, their execution will enhance and proficiency won’t be an issue any longer. Enhanced quality confirmation and control is an unquestionable requirement rehearse arrangement for all company, whether in general society or private division. All company, whether charitable making or profitmaking association, need to be productive in their operations; Thus, actualizing enhanced quality affirmation and control is impossible. Proficiency is indispensable in all company; thus, all company ought to look to execute this strategy at all expense. To all company that have benefit making and shareholder riches amplification destinations; cost diminishment is a target, also. Enhanced quality affirmation and control is a measure that sees to it that organizations work at the negligible expense conceivable. Likewise, in these company, client fulfillment is an apparatus that ought to guarantee greatest offers of the organization’s items. Enhanced quality confirmation and control guarantees client fulfillment. Along these lines, all administrators ought to execute this strategy without the slightest hesitation. In conclusion, enhanced quality affirmation and control must run as an inseparable unit with aggregate quality administration. Accordingly, this will guarantee that the company welfare is at the heart of every last one of procedure of the association. Moreover, it is not difficult to accomplish objectives when administration is effective. Thus, these two strategies will see the accomplishment of the company in this industry and also others.

A visit of charity

In short, by Eudora Welty about a visit to charity, different themes and moods are displayed in different parts of the story. This story also comprises many other types of organization and information, which are essential in understanding what the author is trying to out across. The general mood displayed in the short story is dark. Marian does not find what she expected in the hospital room, where she meets with the two older women. The mood can also be discussed as foreboding as Marian senses that the place was to be awkward from the first moment she steps in and realizes the wet floor (Welty, 217). Therefore Welty uses different means to achieve this and to tell the story of Marian whereby she is not inside the story, and therefore this gives her authority and ability to read the minds of the characters even though she does not utilize this feature in her story.

Eudora Welty was a resident of Mississippi, and her work is generally known for its exploration of the south’s culture. This culture is of essentiality in American society and knowledge since it helps us understand and interpret her work in the face of the southern part, which helps us borrow from her and know the culture. She has authored dozens of short stories and six novels. In 1973 she won the Pulitzer Prize, which was awarded to recognize her novel the optimist’s daughter. She also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom as well as the southern border. She was the first to have her works published in the library of America when she was still alive.

In this short story, the writer’s main means are making us understand it better and showing us how the interaction between the characters goes on concretely is shown through dialogue. This is an essential part as dialogue helps us see the characters as just telling to one another, and therefore it becomes easy for us to understand what they say. The dialogue is very well constructed and developed. Even though it develops into the negative side, it still develops. The characters, especially the two very vocal women, try to understand each other, which is an essential part of the short story. The dialogue begins with the nurse welcoming Marian to the hospital. Without Marian’s knowledge, she tells the nurse she could take her anywhere, and that is how she ends up with these two ladies. At first sight, the women ask if she was a campfire girl (Welty, 218); she responds with a yes, and therefore they say they had another one of her kind the previous week. Even though the ladies are somehow unkind in the way they describe the other campfire girl who came to read the bible to them, it is still of the dialogue, and it serves to provide the audience with the real feeling of a person.

Welty also uses symbolism to portray the different features of the story. Symbolism is mainly used to show one thing as a clue to something’s real meaning, as it is used in this short story. One of the instances whereby symbolism is used is whereby she alights at dark prickly shrubs (Welty, 216), Therefore from this, we see that even though it means something different, it can be used to symbolize the mood as well as the general experience of the visit as it was not pleasant. This symbolism shows how this inability to arrive at the desired results was depicted earlier enough through symbolism. The lady’s talk can be said to be a symbol state of being irritated by the ladies. We find that the mobile lady is not as talkative as the immobile, bedridden one, and therefore the bedridden talks a lot. She, at some point, sheds tears which might symbolize how she has been suffering and all the bad experiences she has gone through (Welty, 220).

The setting of the short story also enables Welty to tell her story in a very good manner. The story’s action is taking place in a hospital setting, and it is in a hospital setting that Marian finds these ladies. They are in hospital supports their manner of behavior and taking since they may be under medication for some disease or just a condition which they have and which makes them behave in such way. Therefore, the playset can be said to be congruent with the message of the short story.

Welty in this novel also deploys imagery. The imagery is the visual representation of the description, which helps us form concrete mental photos of what is happening, is essential and nice. In this, from the way, the short story is discussed t becomes easy for a person to imagine the hospital and the two older women talking, and therefore, this creation of mental pictures makes the message of the short story even more understandable.

In conclusion, therefore we can say that Welty is one of the very good writers who uses her ability to write to look into the issues which the society is facing as well as talking about the daily activities of a person in a creative manner to communicate effectively to the reader and the audience.

Dance

Dance as an art is not as easy as people think; most individuals think that dance is all about having a flexible body. However, this is not the case because dance entails memorizing of moves, planning and practice (Smith-Autard 56). The number of moves and their order in dance is a complex thing to master. Besides, some dance moves and routines are exceedingly difficult for a person to pick up and remember. If I were to give myself a grade in dance, I would give myself a grade B. This is because memorizing all the moves involved in a certain dance technique is not an easy task since one has to first of all understand the coordination of different moves and their flow. Therefore, individuals, who fail to coordinate the different moves in a dance technique will eventually view dance as difficult. In my case, coordination of moves would not be so problematic. Dance requires a lot of time since it is difficult to learn a dance technique and understand it within a short time. Because of the time that it consumes, it requires planning which is a bit a challenge. Although dance is a difficult art, I give myself a grade B because I came to understand it is all about doing regular practice. Regular practice helps the body to familiarize with the moves, which makes it easy to learn a particular dance technique. In addition, cooperation with the coach is also a key element leading to swift learning of dance techniques; this makes it feasible to get a grade B in dance.

Modern, jazz and ballet techniques have similarities and differences. One of the similarities between jazz and ballet is the technique; the two styles influence each other. For example, jazz moves such as straddle split leap, toe rise and pirouette comes from ballet. Likewise, ballet is influenced by jazz in things such as the fluidity and movement. Another similarity between jazz and ballet is that both techniques require balance (Franklin 39). Jazz dancers execute fast turns, great kicks and leaps that require balance. Alternatively, ballet dancers require balance because they dance on their toes. Although modern is similar to ballet because it has ballet fundamentals and focus on taking up space, which is different from jazz (Franklin 48).

In modern technique, movements come from personal expression and feelings, which is different in jazz because certain styles and rules have to be followed in jazz dance. Furthermore, steps in jazz do not come from personal feelings. However, the modern and jazz dance techniques have traces in ballet dance technique. Modern and ballet have a difference in that modern dance involves freestyle and has a wider range of motion compared to ballet; ballet dance is usually precise and has specific routines and moves. Hence, ballet dance technique has specifity in moves while this is not the case in the modern dance technique (Legg 62). Ballet is usually controlled by strict rules; for example, a ballet dance standing on the stage has to turn out his legs and in first position; no such rules are required in modern dance since it focuses on the natural movement. All the three dance techniques are similar in that they are based on a certain aesthetic, include female and male dancers, and evolved over a given period of time.

Nelson MandelaÆs legacy

Nelson MandelaÆs legacy

Nelson Mandela’s legacy

Nelson Mandela is few of the world’s known personalities who have received critical positive attention from the international media. A closer look at his personal and political life attests to the fame he received worldwide. Nelson Mandela was at the core of a South African national movement that sought to eradicate apartheid from its system. This feat reverberated as a form of democratic transformation that would accord valuable lessons towards fighting human plagues such as racism. Mandela rose to international fame because his struggles indicated that human beings could triumph against any odds. Through the hard decisions he undertook, Nelson Mandela helped create a prominent legacy.

By going to the prison for 27 years, Nelson Mandela proved that he could go extreme lengths to defend his stance against apartheid. When Mandela started gaining internal attention and connections, he could have utilized such opportunities to escape from arrest. Mandela, however, chose to stay in South Africa thereby increasing his chances for arrest by the imperialist authorities. In 1962, the South African authorities arrested Nelson Mandela for having left the country without a valid passport. This was a prelude to his major 1964 trial that led to his sentencing for 27 years in prison (Crompton, 2007). In prison, Mandela learned that common things such as forgiveness united humanity. The story about his grueling days in prison is still a major reason for Mandela’s fame because of the pain that people associated with such an experience.

Mandela’s choice of forgiving his oppressors was an unimaginable undertaking that drew the world’s emotions towards black South Africans’ ordeal in a segregated community. Having experienced a painful time in prison, a conventional mindset would not have expected Mandela to forgive the authorities that sent him to jail. Mandela stated that he went to prison as an angry individual who believed that triumphing against apartheid would only take violence. Mandela stated that his core lesson during his prison time was that human beings have many things uniting them than the issues that differentiate them. On coming out of jail, he visited many countries such as the United Kingdom whereby he preached of peace as more essential than violence in winning negotiations.

Mandela was famous about his pragmatic ways of handling apartheid in South Africa. In his first experiences of segregation, he realized that joining a unified organization was the best way to fight apartheid. Mandela began his revolutionary activities as a radical and a militant person because he believed that was the best way of gaining the attention of the authorities (Boehmer, 2010). As ANC expanded, Mandela sought to invite ordinary individuals into the party. This was responsible for the involvement of movements such as the communists in the ANC’s struggles. In his later days, Mandela discovered that violence created substantial harm on the lives of human beings. In this sense, peaceful negotiations would be the ultimate way of ending apartheid.

Mandela earned his legacy by making difficult decisions. By undergoing difficult experiences in the prison for 27 years, Mandela proved that human beings, sometimes, can experience difficult circumstances towards achieving certain ends in life. Mandela’s decision of forgiving his oppressors united the world in identifying with the experiences of the apartheid system. This stance softened the oppressive system in heeding to the plies of the black South Africans. Mandela is also famous for his pragmatic ways of handling apartheid. He began his activism as a militant person but later chose peaceful negotiation as the best way of ending apartheid.

Dane County Board Meeting

The article summarized, ‘Dane County supervisors propose major changes to 911 center board’, relate to Dane County Board’s meeting. The meeting recommended that changes be made to the 911 center Board. The meeting recommended that the 911 Center Board should have less control by the Madison City. The proposal was made by Supervisor Bob Salov of the 37th district. The proposal was supported by six other colleagues during the meeting held on March 20th 2014. The motion sought to shrink the Madison’s control of the center by cutting the board membership from 12 to 9 members with voting rights. The move made the board an advisory center. However, Mayor Paul Soglin and Paul Skidmore as well as other city officers were against the move.

Currently, the 911 Center Board is mandated to set the Centers policies and procedures, while the Dane County has the control of its personal and budgets. The new proposal sought to remove the representatives from fire, police, IT and traffic departments. Under the new proposal, the Center would have its membership drawn from the City Council, the EMS, fire and police departments from Dane county, the sheriff, supervisor and other local officers. These changes would have made the board less powerful, without much authority and exposed to manipulation from external forces.

The action of the supervisors to change the Board’s composition and structures was a reactionary move. The Center Board had indefinitely delayed the bid by the county’s executive to have more powers to respond faster to emergencies and alerts. The main issue under contention was therefore the control of the dispatcher’s alert responders. The County Executive had announced that pre-alerting were to beginning from Madison on March 31st. while supporting the pre-alerting idea, the executive argued that the County was not ready for it. However, those who supported the changes at the board argued that ownership and the control of the Center had been improperly transferred to Madison city. The proponents of the changes said that the county funds the board, therefore should have a say on who sits at the board. They advocated for equal representation at the board. Conversely, the county executive was cautious, preferring to consult with the stakeholders before making his stand known.

The county Board has 37 members and a majority vote is needed to pass the motion. The movers such as O’Loughlin has been buying time to gather more support from the other Board members and have the proposal put to a vote. They are very confident of a growing support that would see the motion sail through.

On the other hand, the County Mayor, Paul Soglin argued that a controversy about the Board exists. The city and the county’s management had differed on the roles of the 911 center board and its work. A dispute on the Board’s legal authority also exists. The mayor is considering seeking a legal counsel to have clarity on the specific terms of reference of the board and its composition.

The wrangles on the mandate of the Board have led to confusion on the management of the county. The mayor is frustrated because of lack accurate dispatches. The confusion has also led to delays in dispatches. The mayor argued that the best way out is for the antagonizing parties to have a dialogue and come up with an agreeable solution.

Net Privacy

Net Privacy

Net Privacy

The internet has brought mixed blessings to the people who use it. It is a fantastic information source but the relative lack of privacy has brought forth a major problem. Anyone with even little hacking knowledge can track every move that you make while using internet services and/or view private or confidential information. It is now possible for some internet sites can actually find information such as e-mail addresses or the name of the person/people viewing the site without authorisation. This problem can affect everyone who uses any internet services and ultimately can lead to very confidential information(such as credit card numbers) getting into the hands of criminals.

Internet services and facilities are now used and provided by many companies and individuals worldwide. Each web site that is visited could have the capability of finding out your name and/or e-mail address and sending junk e-mail or cataloguing this information and then selling it to other companies. The ISP that you connect to the internet also has a record of every bit of information you upload or download, and must keep records for official purposes. Any sites that ask for your credit card number for “pay by use” or restricted services could, in fact, sell or use such information for illegal purposes such as fraud.

The actual hardware requirements for using the internet are minimal, only an internet service provider(a company that allows a connection to the internet), modem(to send and receive data transmissions through a phone line), phone line(to dial up the I.S.P,) and a reasonably fast computer(to run the hardware and software) are needed to get onto the internet. This allows almost anyone with a computer to access the internet. Software is needed to browse or view the internet is a browser(such as Netscape Navigator, MS Internet Explorer) and for e-mail services, programs such as Eudora, Netscape Navigator or MS Internet Explorer are needed to send or receive e-mail.

Nearly everyone will at some stage in their lives use the Internet. Very minimal skills are needed to use the Internet, and it allows people to access an immense amount of information at the touch of a button. All a person with a little hacking knowledge needs to do to get such information is to use a Trojan horse type program and he or she can follow you around and view the information you are uploading or downloading.

The fact that there is minimal internet privacy has led to people becoming weary of what they actually do on the internet. The people that actually provide the Internet services to uses, ISP’s, keep records for up to two months on all user data transactions. This means that someone could possibly get confidential information such as a credit card number and sell the information or use it themselves for purchasing goods or services. This has raised some concern and there have been propositions made in many governments worldwide to ensure that acts such as these are prevented from happening, but, anyone who has access to the actual server could find such information. This practice, however, could never be totally eradicated as there are already statutes in place that demand these records to be kept.

Another factor in this privacy issue are the “cookies” sent to you when viewing certain web sites. A cookie is a piece of information that is sent to you by a web site and in return, it takes a piece of information from the user. People can actually stop “cookies” from being received but it prevents vital information from being sent to them. Some times, all the cookie does is record, on the users computer, without consent, information such as the number of times that the site has been accessed by the user. More sophisticated versions can access information from the user such as e-mail addresses or the real name of the user. Such information should not be allowed to be accessed without consent and such practices should be stopped. Finally, something is being done about the practice of sending “cookies” to receive personal information such as the real name and e-mail addresses being sold to companies for the us of sending junk mail. In a recent law case in America, has filed a !

lawsuit against a company that sent him junk mail by e-mail by using “cookies” to get his information. A Virginia resident has filed suit in state court against US News & World Report, challenging the right of the magazine to sell or rent his name to another publication without his express written consent. Ram Avrahami claims that USN&WR has benefited commercially from his name, thus violating the Virginia Code which protects every person from having his/her name being used for commercial purpose without consent. The outcome of this case could set the precedent* for any such future claims and invite class actions against many companies that use the same practices.

E-mail viewing without consent is another occurrence of privacy infringement that has led to actual court cases being held to sue people and organisations. The “screening” of e-mail was a large problem before the advent of laws that prevented this from occurring. It was found that one ISP administrator in the United States of America would “get his kicks” out of reading the e-mail sent and received by users of the ISP. His unlawful actions set another precedent and since then this problem, although not altogether gone, has been greatly reduced.

A new method of gaining information used by some high level technology sites rely on the ISP of the user accessing their site. The site sends a signal to the ISP which returns information such as the country the user is from, the E-mail address of the user and in certain cases the address of the user. This information is freely available from the ISP with the right technology and allows web sites to gain information that it could rent or sell to other companies to sent traditional (snail mail) Junk Mail to the user.

With the release of Microsoft’s Windows 97®, a new era of unauthorised data retrieval has arisen. When a user with Windows 97® logs onto The Microsoft Network® the user’s computer sends information on all software actually on the user’s computer and if it has been registered with the company or not. A Microsoft® spokesperson said that it was “a bid to stop increasing software piracy”. This step really forces people to send in registration forms for any software that they own as Microsoft® can sue people who use the service without having registered products. It is a problem because many people who do by the product and not pirate it, do send in registration forms because they do not want their information used for the purpose of sending junk mail to them. It should be up to the user whether they want the registration forms sent in, not the software company’s.

The cost to many businesses that do not infringe the privacy of individuals is quite great. Many sites providing “pay for use” by credit cards services are avoided because there aren’t stricter privacy regulations. Although secure links with high level cryptography techniques have been created for “pay for use” services, there are still doubts in the minds of many people of the authenticity of such services. The benefits that increased privacy would clearly make it the only option for the internet. Increased use of credit card services and a wider band of people would be willing to visit sites and enter confidential information without any fear of misuse. It must be the future of the Internet.

Computer Privacy is a major issue and it does effect anyone who uses any internet service. Something must be done to stop the crimes committed against the privacy of people and people should be allowed to control their personal or confidential information, whether they want it freely available or not. Only through consumer pressure will the internet become more secure as has happened in America. Already people can join up to ISP’s with totally secure services with total anonymity. This must be the future of the internet.

Darwin, Descent of Man

In the third chapter, Charles Darwin talks about the differences between lower animals and human beings, who have mental powers. According to him, there is a huge difference between savages, which are known to be lowly, as well as apes that belong to a high class. The latter and the former, both exhibit certain common traits and characteristics. They include; imagination, memory, emotions, imitation, curiosity, reason as well as attention. Apart from these, humans are different and unique because they have the ability of communicating through languages, are self conscious, superstitious and they also believe in God.

The writings provided by Darwin are suggest that he was engaged in finding out about the origin of species, especially that of human beings. This is the reason why he came up with the book ‘Descent of Man’ in order to let everyone know about his findings. The major themes, which Darwin has made known include; mental powers, development of man, race and sexual selection. One is aware that in this particular reading, Darwin wanted to ensure that the moral power of human beings is evident. Furthermore, Darwin came up with the theory of the evolution of human beings in the 1800’s. During that time, most assumptions were often ignored, but not that of Darwin. This is the reason why Darwin is acclaimed as well as praised for his argument concerning the reason, which leads to the existence of human beings. He is a great and admirable originator, who deserves to be recognized. Indeed, ‘Descent of Man’ is a great asset to the world in gaining knowledge concerning human being existence theories.

Nets Next Phase Will Weave Through Your Life

Nets Next Phase Will Weave Through Your Life

Net’s Next Phase Will Weave Through Your Life

I chose my article from the March 2nd edition of the USA Today. It is entitled “Net’s Next Phase Will Weave Through Your Life.” This article discusses the changes in the near future of the Internet. Since its invention less than a decade ago, the Internet has become part of our everyday life. Businesses and consumers alike have used it for different several reasons to accomplish many different tasks.

But some believe that the growth in the usefulness of the Internet is coming to a halt. Many people consider the Internet a bit worn-out. Investors have seemed to abandon it. Analysts worry that nothing is coming to it. To many users, what was radical just years ago may be becoming monotonous.

But the computer industry is looking to change all that. On the horizon, there’s a new wave of the Internet beginning to break. For most users, the Internet experience will change dramatically over the next year or two. The hope for these changes is that the developments will reunite the industry.

Up to this point, the Net has been almost entirely about viewing content or buying products over the Web through a browser and a personal computer. In the next wave, the browser will no longer be a solo act. It will be part of a much larger system that combines hardware and software together to produce much more than was ever before possible. Craig Mundie, the executive vice president of Microsoft, quotes: “Browsing isn’t bad, and it won’t go away. But the browser will become part of a larger context.”

The Internet will be less about going to big sites like Yahoo and Amazon.com and more about using specialized pieces of software that connect to the Net. Current examples of these types of software include Real Player, Napster, and the Miller Lite Beer Pager. Once one of these programs is loaded onto your PC, they work independently of the browser to do their task very well.

Web sites themselves will also work harder and together. For example, a travel site will coordinate your plans online on your computer and then automatically trigger the e-mail software on your PC to notify friends and family of the upcoming trip. More complex software will also work together with web sites to bring services that go far beyond our current shopping, electronic calendars, or travel arrangements. Such sites will help run companies, home office, and personal finance.

Information on the Web, which is becoming much more accessible by cell phones and handhelds, will be available anywhere and everywhere. In order to contact you, Web sites will now call your phone or page you. You will be able to use your cell phone as a remote control to access your PC. For instance, while you are away from home, you will be able to listen to your own music stored on your home PC on another computer. The Net’s connections will no longer go from just PC’s to servers, but every which way. The resulting possibilities from these types of connections are endless.

The next wave of the Net will also cost more. All the things we’ve been getting for free won’t be that way for much longer. As the Net gets bigger, Internet companies will look at the early days of the television as a business model. TV started out free. Once cable and satellite TV services came around, the model evolved into several layers. Free TV still exists, but now you can pay to get a bigger selection of channels, or you can pay more to get special packages such as HBO or pay-per-view sporting events.

As MP3 services become increasingly popular, many believe that they will carve out layers like the TV industry has done. Possibly they will create a free layer where you can get free music from lesser-known artists, up to a premium layer for immediate releases from superstars. It might get disorderly for a while as companies test how much people are willing to pay. But nearly everyone in the industry agrees that it will create a healthier Internet and business experience.

Also, lots of companies will jump on to the trend to make better computer products. Computer-game maker Electronic Arts is the first company to test the capabilities of the new connectivity. Its new game, Majestic, is tagged “the game that plays you.” Instead of being something that you play on the PC, this mystery game leaves clues and sucks you into situations by contacting you every which way – e-mail, instant message, faxes and even phone calls. Every communication device becomes part of the game. Says Electronic Arts’ Joe Keene, “It will invade your life.” Much as the Internet soon will.

I chose this article because of the economic significance the Internet will have on the future of the world’s economy. The Internet was a large reason for the boost of the United States’ economy in the last decade, and there is no reason to think that an improvement in the Internet won’t help the economy grow on an even larger scale.

Introduction

The network consultation guides one through the process of designing a network for the small business. A typical network of this sort includes three computer users, two laptops, a server, one quality networked printer and access to wireless network. The main aim is to build and design the best network for the organization, with top degree of functionality and security at the same time maintaining a low and reasonable cost. The business scale should be flexible so that as the business grows the network should also grow with it. A Small business has a reserved networking and computing requirements. The business may have a number of computers and laser printers. The network for the small office network should allow the members to share data, and printers as well as other peripherals. The computing requirements in small organizations may be met by use of a single LAN with one to two servers, and using off-the-shelf components. A small business LAN is usually managed by one person with a moderate experience and technical knowledge (Gregory, 2002).

Network design for a small billing business

A network design that allows one server to control the networking, filter internet and serve printers is the easiest since the owner can manage his business at a single point. It should have easy connections that grow with the business. Web and mail servers could be used from a hosted service and thus having one internet connection. This is recommended since it is a cost effective and is efficient for a small business. The recurring cost of maintenance could be reduced by a big rate. In this business, the owner will consider using the following devices for his billing business.

The modem serves as a network adapter that configures the internet technology on the business operating system. For proper networking, the modem is first installed before the other software to confirm compatibility. The modem is connected to an AP router that is used when transmitting data between wired and wireless networking devices. The two laptops use wireless networking from the router to access network while the workstations and the other 3 users use LAN and are connected to the main server via the switch box. The two working stations are placed in a local area network which is secure to protect data and the working stations themselves.

The LAN’s IP addresses are private and available to the local network only. The workstations and the network printers are given an IP address automatically by the server, as well as to the wireless network that hook the three users and the laptops.  The IP Addresses may be allocated permanently to the printers and workstations for easy locations accessibility. Therefore it is vital for the business owner to give an IP address to the LAN available depending on the type of business. A Switch is a mechanical device that is used for separation of machines to prevent data from going to machines that are not intended on the network. By using it, the network usage is reduced and the security of every machine is separated from the traffic created by other machines. It controls the network hard drive that transfers files to all the other computers.

The basic configuration recommended for a secure computing environment.

For a secure computing environment, the user should establish different security policies to protect data and threats. Implementing a basic firewall that manages threats and protects the system and the use of basic Antivirus software or even an anti-spyware program that protects from virus is the main methods used by business owners to protect information and the devices. Since there will be a wireless connection, a robust password is advised since wireless traffic is highly detected by software. Review of the router and firewall logs helps to identify any abnormal network connections as well as any Internet traffic. Use passwords are encouraged for all accounts.

Network architecture and Internet access configuration

Network architecture, is the structural and logical layout of the network that consists of transmission devices, hardware and software as well as communication protocols and mode of transmission such as wireless or wired and connectivity between components. LAN is the best network type that can be used in a small business. The other computers are served by only one server (Gregory, 2002).

The networking consultation applies to the fundamental networking concepts solutions and terminology on computer networking. The networking allows one to implement network using the physical media and data links created. Ethernet and Wi-Fi deploy the LANs as they guide on the network design to be used on any business.

Hardware recommendations and related costs

This are the tangible devices required by the user to access either through a dial up connection or direct connection to a host computer. Connecting cable lines enable connection to the Internet bringing about increase in users and speed of connections on the web. A router is recommended as it is the main part of the architecture. It transmits information from one place to another in data grams. A switchbox is required as it is the central control of all the actions taking place; it distributes traffic based on application or load content. Printer prints data from the connected computer. Pc is has components such as the key board, mouse monitor, data storage, hard drive and the system unit. A Modem is used to configure and to set up the internet technology on the operating system.

Deployment in bandwidth, distance, and number of users

Network is a classification of devices that are linked to each other. Networks can be grouped into a variety of uniqueness, such as the topology, means used to transport the data, scale communications protocol used, advantage, and organizational scope. Different technologies are organized in different framework of networking for instance in topology which has bus, ring star, tree and mesh classification. Topology is a crucial part of network design theory. One can build a small business computer network without perception of the difference between star design and a bus design, but when familiar with the typical topology provides one with a better understanding on the essentials of networking concepts such as routers, hubs, and broadcasts. Bandwidth is rate of data transfer within a band of wavelengths in a computer network. It is said to be the volume of data an internet connection can handle per second. The rate/speed of bandwidth is measured in bits per second (bps). An internet connection with a larger bandwidth can move a huge amount of data in a short span compared to an internet connection with a bandwidth that is relatively low. Network failure and a large decrease in the signal strength can hinder the bandwidth rate.

Characteristics of various communication protocols

A communications protocol is a structure of rules for data switch between computers. A protocol should define the semantics, syntax and synchronization of communication. The character depends on how it is independently implemented. It can be implemented as software or hardware and even as both. A technical standard should be developed to bring the protocol into an agreement.

Deploy a basic Ethernet LAN and compare it to other network topologies

Network topologies are ways in which network elements are connected, thus the logical and physical arrangement of network nodes. Ethernet topology compared to other topologies has the simplest connection and has less network nodes. It is only preferred to a less load to avoid traffic.

Ethernet LAN network topology is cost effective mode of achieving high speed LAN transmissions since it can operate with as low as 10 to 100MB/s as compared to other topologies that are expensive. It supports various writing configurations and works best with a huge number of LAN as well as the micro-to-main frame applications. It is the easiest to install as compared to other network topologies. When compared to other network topologies, Ethernet is not a high-level performer when it comes to high-load environments. This protocol Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection slows down significantly when many workstations compete for the one cabling trunk. It has a linear bus decentralized control which may complicate isolation of problems (Ekert, 2004).

Use technology and information resources to research issues in networking

The Networking and Information Technology Research issues are done to support technology leadership, science, and engineering and bolster economic competitiveness. The research focuses on identifying issues that will help the countries out-educate, out-innovate and out-build the world. Networking and information technology assists in Cyber security and information assurance from any attacks. High-confidence software and systems have priorities such as; Management of autonomous and complex systems; Development of science and technology for creation of cyber-physical systems (CPS); Development of technology assurance; Improvement of quality of high-confidence real-time system and software; as well as the improvement of CPS education to expand a new generation of experts (Edgar, 2005).

Introduction

Anderson & Reilly Law Firm wishes to upgrade its data communication and network systems from a legacy platform to a web-based operating system. It is, therefore, seeking a bidder who will oversee the entire process so as to ensure seamless operationalization of the new system with little or no data loss. This is the statement of work for the Request for Proposal.

Statement of Work

Project Scope

This project requires the bidders to oversee the full implementation of the web-based platform right from the purchase of hardware and software required for the transition to the setting up, data transfer and full operationalization of the new system.

During the implementation process, the successful bidder will collaborate with the law firm’s IT department so as to come up with the most appropriate software applications at the best price possible. Considering that most employees are used to the legacy system, the successful bidder will be required to undertake the training of the employees, as well as full orientation to ensure that they are properly conversant with the system (Schwalbe, 2010). On the same note, it is the duty of the successful bidder to undertake the data transfer from the legacy system to the web-based system, as well as safe archiving and storage of data with no loss of data. This transition should be done with minimum disruptions to the operations of the law firm.

Period of performance

The project will be carried out for not more than two months from 30th June to 31st August 2013. This period is divided into different phases that will guide the project right from the beginning to the end, with the specific tasks to be carried within that time. The management board should be notified at the last day of every phase as to the progress made.

Project Timeline:

June 30th to July 10th- PROJECT INITIATION PHASE- the winning bidder will work in collaboration with the IT department in the law firm to determine the specific needs with regards to hardware and software applications needed to carry out the upgrade. Measurements will be carried out to determine the length of cables required, alongside evaluations to determine the items needed (Schwalbe, 2010). The law firm’s management board will be notified after two weeks about the entire list of hardware and software.

July 16th – July 31st MARKET RESEARCH- All items needed for the migration will be identified and bought within this period. These include 23 computers, routers, switches, network adapters, network software, legal management software, cable connectors, power supply and the identified network mediums. The winning bidder will carry out comprehensive market research to determine the most appropriate hardware and software while being mindful of the cost, both in the long-term and the short-term. Every software and hardware required should be purchased by the end of this phase.

August 1st – August 15th – Installation and setting up of the Local Area Networks and full operationalization of the new computers. In addition, the contractor will undertake the backing up of the system and archiving the data stored. A temporary legacy system will be set up to prevent disruption of operations.

August 16th – August 20th – setting up of the web-based platform and filling the necessary data of the law firm. The system will be tested and troubleshooting capabilities evaluated.

August 21st –August 25th – Training of the employees of Anderson and Reilley Advocates law firm on the functioning of the web-based system.

August 26th – August 31st- The contractor will undertake full internalization of the platform and the full archiving of the legacy system leaving the web-based platform as the only one in operation.

Project manager: Dr. Rilley Barnie.

Evaluation Criteria

The bidder will have to provide a list of referees and testimonials from previously completed projects. Experience in the field will be considered in evaluating the qualifications of the bidder. It is imperative that the bidder provide a list of the workers alongside their qualifications. On the same note, a statement of cost including costs pertaining to any subcontractors should be included in the bid

Physical location: the project will be carried out in the premises of Anderson & Rilley Law Firm in Ellicott Square Building located in Buffalo, NY 14225
