Intelligence is shown through a range of talents at different ages. For example, language ability at six months of age is not the intelligence component since babies cannot make or understand words. Still, it is an intelligence component at six years since children cannot generate or understand terms. The intelligence testing items designed to evaluate intelligence at various ages reflect several intelligence components. For example, two-year-olds on Stanford Binet must identify items shown in line drawings, discover the object they have before seen but forgotten (learning and a memory test), and put all three things in the corresponding form hole. Suppose the Stanford Binet is ten years old. In that case, it is requested that word (verbal testing of ability) be defined, why certain social institutions existed (general test of knowledge and reasoning) and blocks are counted in a picture where the existence of certain blocks must be determined.

Children aged 5 to 6 years old have had the most success and the most diverse variety of applications for IQ testing. The specific talents tested and the questions used to measure them differ substantially from one test to the next. However, the most often used assessments share several similarities (Kovacs 189-194). General intelligence is a concept that encompasses a wide variety of cognitive talents and capacities. People can gain information and solve issues by employing these talents. This fundamental mental ability serves to develop particular mental skills such as spatial, numerical, mechanical, and linguistic abilities. Without intellect, it isn’t easy to learn anything.

Intelligence serves as the foundation for learning. The efficiency of the learning process is influenced by one’s degree of intelligence. In several settings, it is commonly accepted that students with high intelligence are easier to educate, lead, and guide than those with low intelligence.

I compared two of my close friends on the amplitude of learning and learning and general intelligence. To reach the two, I looked at the characteristics of intelligence from Stanford-Binet, one of the intelligence scholars (Baum 17-21). My main aim was to look at the cognitive abilities of both students. The results were not the same as the students with cognitive students had traits that were not the same as general intelligence students had very high cognitive abilities instead of learning intelligence.

The tests were critical as I understood the meaning of intelligence more profoundly, precisely, the general and learned intelligence quotient. I took this as a positive way even to handle the practical tests on intelligence. I was able to utilize my critical and critical thinking abilities as well as cognitive abilities to make the final decision on the test. I was not particularly eager to do an online test since the results were invalid, but all in all, they were meant to make us understand the topic of intelligence. On the other hand, the results were a good measure of intelligence as they incorporated all we learned in class. I recommend them as they prepared us for future physical testing on intelligence.

In a nutshell, the class has taught me so much about intelligence; I understood the measures of intelligence and how it can be compared with different factors. I have also learned that environment has a significant impact on one’s intelligence as well. For example, factors like the home environment and parenting of a kid, schooling and the availability of learning tools, and nutrition all have a role in a child’s intelligence.

26.75 The following will explain how each of the four (4) fundamental factors that affect the supply and demand for investment capital, and hence, interest rates, (namely productive opportunities, time preferences for consumption, risk, and inflation) affects the cost of money. Economics is the study of production, distribution and consumption of goods and services whether in a city, country or a single business. Supply and demand is a fundamental factor in shaping the character of the market-place; it is understood as the principal determinant in establishing the cost of goods and services. The availability, of goods or services is a key consideration in determining the price at which those goods or services can be obtained.

For example, a landscaping company with little competition that operates in an area of high demand for such services will be able to command a higher price than will a business operating in a highly competitive environment. But availability is only one-half of the equation that determines pricing structures in the marketplace. The other half is “demand.” A company may be able to produce huge quantities of a product at low cost, but if there is little or no demand for that product in the marketplace, the company will be forced to sell units at a very low price. Conversely, if the marketplace proves receptive to the product that is being sold, the company can establish a higher unit price. “Supply” and “demand,” then, are closely inter-twined economic concepts.

Risk aversion is so important to financial decision making. It not only affects dollar and delivery of service or product, but also profit margin. Risk aversion is the tendency of investors to avoid risky investments. Thus, if two investments offer the same expected yield but have different risk characteristics, investors will choose the one with the lowest variability in returns. If investors are risk averse, higher-risk investments must offer higher expected yields. Otherwise, they will not be competitive with the less risky investments. In turn a so-called “rational” decision is choosing the option with the highest expected value. However, such a rational decision is what consumers should choose rather than what they would choose. The rational decision requires consumers to be risk neutral, which is obviously not realistic. People choose the option with the lower expected value rather than the one with the highest expected value.

Furthermore to better understand the following time value must be understood in or to explain the three techniques for solving time value problems. The time value of money is the value of money figuring in a given amount of interest earned over a given amount of time. The old adage “time is money” is an important concept in financial markets. The three techniques are regular, ordinary and perpetuity annuity.

A simplistic way of expressing the distinction is to say that payments made under an ordinary annuity occur at the end of the period while payments made under an annuity due occur at the beginning of the period. Most annuities are ordinary annuities. Installment loans and coupon bearing bonds are examples of ordinary annuities. Rent payments, which are typically due on the day commencing with the rental period, are an example of an annuity-due. Thus, the present value or future value of an annuity due is always higher than that of ordinary annuity.

Perpetuity starts as an ordinary annuity but has no end and continues indefinitely with level, sequential payments. Therefore, a perpetuity paying $1,000 annually at an interest rate of 8% would be worth:

This is very important to evaluate it on continuous basis for the successful results. It can be evaluate through self –assessment by the employees. They can analyse whether their career goals which they have identified can be realised in practical from or not. It needs to check on the parameters of the organisation like whether it is within the parameters of the organisational development or not. It can be evaluated on the basis of the two types of the outcomes – first the reactions of the internal customers who are the employees and management because they use the career management system. Secondly, it can be evaluated on the basis of the result of the career management system. It is important that it should be evaluate on the basis of its objective in terms of employees and management.

While designing career management system, it is important to know the nature of the job, value, mission and organisational structure of the company, individual and company’s performance, career growth opportunities, and employees’ development.

My dream is to become an Early Childhood Educator. This is because Early Childhood Educator are tasked with development of a child; they are tasked with the educational, social, physical and emotional development of a student. There are various long term goals that I have established that will aid in the development of my career, this include:

Building trust- it’s important for teachers to develop trust between them and students. As an aspiring ECE teacher this is one of the main goals. This is because one will be tasked with the care of new little kids. As a teacher it’s important to ensure that their classroom is a safe place and welcoming.

Helping kids nurture friendships- as a teacher it’s important to help kids develop a set of skills which will enable kids to integrate in a society.

Avoid Burnout- naturally many teachers are born givers and some really don’t take time off,leading to burnouts. It’s therefore important to set time apart, where you can take time out to de-stress.

As an ECE teacher it’s important to be creative and energetic, in that one should be able to think out of the box. By making learning fun and interesting as well as help the children stay positive. Passion and love for the profession is also key, this is because strong dedication leads to great outcomes. As an ECE good communication is critical, whereby one establishes age appropriate communication skills. As an ECE there are various ethical standards that guide individuals to ensure high-quality practices. There various qualities that I posses that directly relates to this profession. These includes, work ethic, whereby am committed, a problem solver, very adaptable and quite flexible. Also communication and relationships are some of the necessary requirements, this is because as an ECE one needs to relate with many people, be it students, workmates or parents.

he goal of this unit is for students to continue to delve more deeply into the strategies of rhetoric through an introduction to rhetorical analysis of sources related to their major, potential major, and/or possible future career. This will take up all of Weeks 4-5-6 to complete all parts of the assignment. FINAL IS DUE: Tues. 10/13.

YOUR AUDIENCE: The target audience for this paper will be other OU students who might be contemplating a career in your chosen field.

YOUR PURPOSE: Your purpose for writing this synthesis is to provide a guideline for other students to use when “shopping” for a career choice.

RUBRIC: For this project, you will provide a synthesis of the following:

1) 10 pts. – ARTIFACTS: Two or more good career sample artifacts of writing from your field. A brief description of each and what type of writing they represent in the field. These will be Appendix A & B in your paper.

2) 10 pts. – INTERVIEW: Transcript of an interview you will have with a professional working in the field. You will have the final interview transcribed and uploaded to Moodle. This will be Appendix C in your paper.

3) 40 pts. – A narrower, more focused and DETAILED ANALYSIS of communication practices within the field will comprise the majority of the paper broken down as follows:

This whole detailed analysis will be a minimum of 4-6 pages long typed, double spaced, and it will be developed through multiple drafts and peer review. In the detailed analysis, you will include 2 types of research:

A. Secondary: An overview of the field. It will encompass a synthesis of all you’ve learned from at least 3 outside secondary sources (i.e. journal articles, magazine articles, newspaper articles, pamphlets, brochures, online material, videos, etc.) and must include these three items:

How one can best be prepared to write in the field, what people are writing, forms of media used. Also include the amount of text composed on a regular basis & types of texts composed

How one uses ethos, pathos, and logos when communicating in this field. Explain how the writing/communicating may be geared towards different audiences and for different purposes.

Discussion of the current controversies within this field. How are they perceived, what’s being written about them, and how may they be resolved?

B. Primary:

At least two artifacts of writing in this field (i.e., a lesson plan, a report, a memo, a proposal, a web page) attached as appendices, which you will rhetorically analyze in the paper. You can ask your interviewee for these or go to the internet to find some. You will provide an overview of what types of texts are regularly composed in the field and the two artifacts will be used as examples.

At least one interview with a professional in the field or an advanced major (in a graduate program). You can use what you learn to write the analysis. NOTE: It is VERY important to make contact with your prospective interview subjects early in this project.

A survey or questionnaire by which you gather public perception from people not working in the field (their perceptions about how people THINK communication works in this field). The survey will also be included in a Moodle Forum.

Not only did Carver Company increased its sales outside Great lakes region to become a truly recognized brand and a market leader of the luxury Motoryacht, but this also marked an increase in building vessels with required structural standards. In fact, the Motoryacht became identical with the Carver trademark in the early 1990s.

Today, Carver embarks on the new design; the 56 Motoryacht aft Cabin, a masterpiece that has the comfort and interior space identical to that of a 65-footer. The luxurious Carver 564 Aft Cabin is a boat that bonds on a unique layout; it manages a superior interior room without compromising style, and practicality. Her elevated bridge deck and molded walkways amplify livable space within. She’s quite larger than she appears to be. The 56 houses three different levels for entertaining plus three private staterooms within en suite heads, and all inclusively air conditioned.

Up in the fly bridge area there’s ample seating for up to 9 persons, on the flybridge command center, it incorporates threefold pedestal helm seats, complete with instrumentation and magnificent vision both aft and for. On the roomy aft deck area is a thoughtfully enclosed and air conditioned providing the perfect spot for entertainment or relaxing. There’s a lot of deck

space, hence owners can locate several options for seating space and storage arrangement.

While just aft of the salon is the master stateroom with mirrored ceilings and also features an island pedestal queen berth, luxurious appointments, gorgeous cherry dresser/cabinet and trim and more storage room.

Conveniently, there’s an access to the cockpit via the master stateroom. The cockpit which sports nearly 82 square feet of space, molded boarding steps, a full transom door guides to a large swim platform with space that can house a tender, loads of storage and tidily tucked shore power receptacle.

Engine

The Carver 564 Aft Cabin is powered by two Volvo D-12 electronic diesel engines. This engine was mainly designed to cater for faster planning crafts. In fact, the Volvo D-12 diesel engine accompanies an Electronic Diesel Control (EDC) Mechanism – where ignition timing is electronically controlled, thus facilitating more resourceful fuel burning in the cylinders – which best illustrate why at the end of every cruise level; you have a cost effective fuel burn, reduced exhaust emission, and increased power experience.

Moreover, when the Carver 564 is powered and put to plane, the D-12s gets the boat up on plane smoothly, while her engines don’t emit noise or smoke on full throttle burst. That’s the bottom line of a faultless engine and it just suits the 564 perfectly.

The engine itself incorporates; a gear-driven fuel pump, six electronic injectors, freshwater cooled turbo charger and mostly importantly, the electronic engine controls and displays for exact rpm settings and straightforward engine diagnostics.

Yet, the D-12 engine builds up the highest torque at just 1400 rpm to get the larger vessels up and running faster. The Carver is very responsive considering it is a full Motoryacht and less intricate to doc using the bowthruster.

The exchange for the entire interior room is her fairly high freeboard. Her relative elevated freeboard requires caution when the boat is cruising on a fairly heavy weather. Further, two inserts cling to two 8-foot fiberglass rods which stand directly from the edges of the dive platform. Cleverly, docking aids included assist the captain from the helm to have a clear view of the stern – perhaps when reversing into a slip.

Performance

The Carver 564 aft Cabin’s top cruising speed is 26.5 mph giving 2000 rpm while burning only 54 gph on the Volvo D-12 675 hp diesel engines. That speed gives an expected cruising range of nearly 290 miles settled on the 510g fuel capacity. However, on full throttle the Carver 564 gives 31.5mph with minimal sound of 75 decibels.

At that speed you could expect a cruising range of almost 290 miles based on the 510-gallon fuel capacity. At full throttle the 564 reached 31.5 mph with a low sound reading of only 75 decibels. As you can see, the Carver 564 Motoryacht incorporates all the features of a 65 foot yacht precisely designed into an effortless run yacht, that will not only please you and your guest but it will also be easy on your pocket as well.
