Artworks are often used to communicate stories. Commemorating important events, legends, and myths with images or a series of images to “tell” the story is a narrative device. In your response, discuss how specific works of art convey a narrative (a story). What does the narrative tell us about the culture in which it was made?

In your response, discuss how specific works of art and/or architecture communicated stories, and what that narrative tells us about the cultures that made the artwork. Compare and contrast specific art examples from the Neolithic and Ancient Near East eras. Please use specific examples of art works to illustrate your ideas.
