Research Paper
OVERVIEW: In-depth research will increase students’ knowledge in a specific area
WEEKLY OBJECTIVES: Students will research an art related topic of interest in the
field focusing on a style, artist, time period, technique or single piece of art. Feel free to
choose an artist or time period that we discussed in the course, but DO NOT choose a
piece of art that you have already discussed in the course. This needs to be new material.
READING and REASEARCH: You should have 3-4 sources. You may use Wikipedia
as an idea for source material, but it should not be a source. The information posted there
is not reliable. Please utilize the library and online data search engines to find reliable
source material. Each source must have at least one intext citation in the paper to receive
credit for the source. All sources need to be placed on a Bibliography page at the end of
the paper. Please make sure to check for proper formatting of citations and bibliography.
