Philosophers on the existence of God

Philosophers on the existence of God

How do the thinkers we have discussed so for position God in their Philosophy? Explain how the concept of ‘god’ is defined and understood by at least Descartes, Spinoza, and Leibniz. Given that so much of these thinkers depend on God’s existence (and omnipotence, and beneficence) to prove much of what they argue metaphysically and epistemologically, how well do you think they demonstrate that there must be this supreme being? Who provides the most compelling reason to believe in God’s existence, or do you think none of rgeir arguments stand up suitably against criticism? What is your overall assessment of how ‘god’ functions in early modern philosophy and to what extent this is a strength or weakness of each of these thinkers systems?
