•There were a number of diversity issues identified in this movie. Focus on Coach Boone’s efforts to bring the team together as one unit; early in the movie, he ‘assigns seats’ on the bus, as an example. Consider the various challenges Coach faced in building a team in the face of generations of racial segregation in Virginia.
•Were the coach’s decisions to force the team’s engagement appropriate?
•Would you have done anything differently in getting the team to embrace their differences? â—¦Also, consider the transition from the football camp to returning to the community. Could the team captains have made any different decisions to bring the team together? Support your answers.
